Pioneer connector and interconnect component manufacturer, originally AMP Incorporated, founded 1941 in Harrisburg, PA. Invented the solderless terminal and manufactured a vast range of connectors, terminals, contacts, and cable assemblies. Acquired by Tyco Electronics in 1999; Tyco became TE Connectivity in 2011. The AMP brand is still actively maintained by TE Connectivity for connectors and terminals. Products: circular connectors, rectangular connectors, BNC connectors, flat cable connectors, ring/spade terminals, solderless terminals, military-spec connectors (MIL-DTL), D-sub connectors, coaxial connectors, power connectors, wire-to-board connectors, automotive connectors, fiber optic connectors.
