Medical radiographic imaging equipment manufacturer founded 1955 in Copiague, NY by Bennett Kleinman. Began manufacturing under own label in 1969. Self-described 'number one supplier of radiographic imaging equipment in the medical imaging marketplace' (~$43M revenue 1994). Products: chiropractic full-room x-ray systems (DC-1, DC-3, DC-4, HFQ-300P series), high-frequency x-ray generators (HF-30, HF-300, HF-400, HFQ series), mammography systems (Contour mammograph, MF-150), R/F systems (CM 425, C325S, C835S), Direct Digital Imager (filmless DR system), x-ray tubes (BXT-151W, BXT 202, BXT 14100), collimators (D50-M, D70A). Pioneered 100 kHz high-frequency x-ray generators for clinical use (1989). Industries served: chiropractic, general radiology, mammography. Acquired by ThermoTrex Corp. 1995; became Trex Medical; acquired by Hologic 2000. Bennett chiropractic product line subsequently transferred to Summit Industries LLC (Niles, IL). OEM service parts still actively available through Summit Industries, X-Ray Parts Depot, and independent service organizations.
